Most guests now reply online, and the card only has to say where. Keep the front for the invitation itself and put the reply date and your website address on the back or a small details card. One line on the front is enough to send people there.
Mr and Mrs Vikram Rao request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Priya to Etienne Moreau Kindly reply on our website Saturday, the twelfth of June at four o’clock
“Kindly reply” is the formal phrase for the RSVP; the address itself sits on the back, so the front stays a formal card.
Warm
Priya & Etienne would love you to celebrate with them Details and replies on our website Saturday 12 June 2027 at 4pm
One line tells guests the website holds everything: the day, directions, and where to say yes.
Modern
Priya & Etienne are getting married. Reply online. Saturday 12 June 2027 at 4pm
Two words do it. The address and the date to reply by are on the back.
What people ask
Is it rude to ask for replies online only?
No, it is now the norm. Offer a phone number on the website for anyone who would rather call, and reply for them yourself.
Where does the website address go?
On the back of the invitation or on a details card, with the date to reply by. On deckle.page the back of every invitation already carries your address, the reply date and a QR code.
Do we need a QR code?
It helps guests on phones, but print the address too: some guests will type it, and a QR code alone says nothing to someone holding the card.
